2.    Working Language and Interpretation Facilities

Indonesian or  English will be used during the conference; dependingon the topic and the speakers. Simultaneous interpretation facilities are not available during the event.

3.    Dress Code

During formal occasions (e.g. opening ceremony, welcoming dinner), formal dress (Batik long sleeves, lounge suit) is required. During task force meetings and side events, smart casual attireis preferable. Further information regarding dress code and attire can be found on the Tentative Program of Activities.

4.    Registration

On-site Registration
Participants who have not registered online may submit the completed Registration Format the Registration Booth located at the JCC and Lobby of Hotel… (TBI), on 18 August 2013 at 08.30 – 20.00 hrs.

5.    ID Badge and Access to Meeting Venues

Registered participants are invited to collect the ID Badges by presenting a photo ID, passport or a valid identity card and signing the receipt form at the registration counter located at the JCC and Lobby of hotel (TBI)…, … on ….at 08.30 – 20.00 hrs.

Use and Issuance of ID Badges
       ID Badgesmust be worn at all times in the JCC.ID Badges are required for entry into the JCC and to every designated facility or venue on18-20 August 2013. Access will be denied to non-accredited individuals and those who make improper use of their ID Badges.
       Please be informed that only registered participants with ID Badges are allowed to access the congress venue, including their family members.

Loss of ID Badges
       Loss of ID Badges should be reported immediately to the Organizing Committee Secretariat. Once the identity of the participant is verified, re-issuance of the ID Badgeswill be made and the previous ID Badges will no longer be valid.

6.    Visa Arrangements

Holders of valid Indonesian Passport can enter Indonesian territory freely. Ex-Indonesian citizens or foreign citizens of diaspora will be granted Visa through Indonesian Embassy/ Consulate General/Consulate abroad or by VOA (see list of countries for VOA).

Participants from the following countries do not need a visa to travel to Indonesia (all types of passport):

The general requirements for visa on arrival are:

·         The applicant’s passport must be valid for at least 6 (six) months from the date of entry
·         Round-trip airplane ticket
·         Fees:
Up to 7 (seven) days    : US$ 10
Up to 30 (thirty) days   : US$ 25

Paticipants from other countries are kindly requested to obtain a visa from the nearest Indonesian Embassy or Consulate in their respective countries.

7.    Local Transport Arrangement

Shuttle Service
Scheduled Shuttle Bus services will be available from/to several Partner Hotels (please see: Recommended Hotels), depends on the number of participants staying in the specific Hotels, during the course of the event. Timetable will be issued prior to the event.

Personal Arrangement / Taxi
Taxis are available 24/7 from the Hotels recommended by the Organizing Committee. Ask the Front Office to call for a taxi. Recommended Taxi companies are: Blue Bird, Silver Bird (premium), Express, Tiara Express (premium), White Horse.

Car renting companies are available online (TRAC, Avis, etc). For those who wish to drive in Jakarta by themselves, always drive on the lefts side of the road (driver seat is on the right hand side of the car). Always have your valid driver license and your car registration ready.

Traffic congestion measures may apply on major roads on working days, during peak hours. Please allow substantial amount of time to travel considering the traffic in Jakarta.


8.    Hospitalities

Participants will be responsible for their own accommodation arrangements. While participants are free to make their own hotel bookings, for convenienceit is advisable that participants stay in the hotel recommended by the Committee.

Meals



Restaurants and food stalls will be available during the event. Only Indonesian Rupiah accepted.



Kids Area and Nursery Room



To accommodate participants coming with family e.g. little children, Organizing Committee will provide particular area within the venue for kids’ activities. Nursery Room will also be made available.



Medical Services



Medical facility for participants will be provided at the venue for minor illnesses. Any major treatment will be carried out at the local hospital, where a 24-hour medical service will be available and a general practitioner will be working on duty throughout the day. Participants will be responsible for the costs incurred of any hospital treatment, and should therefore ensure that they have appropriate insurance coverage prior to traveling.



9.    Arrival and Departure



To provide adequate time for the administrative arrangements, Participants are advised to arrive one day prior to the scheduled events. Several side events will be held prior to, during, and after the main event on 18 – 20 August 2013.



10.  General Information



Internet Facilities



Wireless internet facilities are available in the meeting room and media centre. Office equipments and internet facilities are located at the business centre. Participants are responsible for all costs they incur at the business centre.

Indonesia’s national currency is the Rupiah (Indonesian Rupiah = IDR). The exchange rate normally fluctuates between IDR 9300 and IDR 9800 for 1 USD.

Jakarta has a tropical climate with high humidity. The temperature averages 30 degrees Celsius or 86 degrees Fahrenheit.

Usulan Nominasi Penerima Diaspora Award Dari Qatar

Rekan-rekan diaspora Indonesia di Qatar, salah satu kegiatan dalam rangkaian Kongres Diaspora Indonesia (CID II) nanti di Jakarta adalah pemberian “Diaspora Award” kepada diaspora Indonesia yang berprestasi luar biasa di bidangnya atau memberikan manfaat yang luar biasa kepada diaspora Indonesia baik yang ada di tempat dia berada ataupun di Indonesia.
